Equipping Educators

EAC trains and equips educators (teachers, aides, principals/directors) around the world to incorporate kingdom principles and the Word of God into their curriculum and daily living. The Story Approach is used in the classroom to teach students how to not only communicate orally, read and write in English, but also think in English, to predict outcomes, draw conclusions and make generalizations.

Training Opportunities
Training workshops and conferences are conducted worldwide. There are several EAC training formats:
1—Tutor Training Workshop for adult and teen outreach ministries.
     2Story Approach Workshop for educators.
3—EASEL Institute, which is a combination of the tutor and educator workshops.
4emPower Conference for tutors and teachers.
5—Teacher In-service training for continuing education hours.

A Story Approach Workshop for educators is a 20-hour interactive training workshop to learn the techniques of the Story Approach. It will prepare an educator (teacher, aide, principal/director) to teach English, and even other languages, using a story—a Bible story or one with kingdom principles. Training sessions normally include teaching and mentoring time in the classroom. Participants will learn how to incorporate Bible stories and those with kingdom principles, songs and activities into their required curriculum.

An EASEL Institute is a 2-week interactive training to prepare a participant to be able to start a teen and adult English outreach class and use the Story Approach to teach K-12th grade. It is also appropriate for adult classes under certain circumstances. A modified Story Approach is used in our curriculum for teens and adults.

An emPower Conference is a 3-day empowering conference for tutors and educators filled with times for spiritual refreshing, personal encouragement, workshops for activities and strategies, and group fellowship with colleagues all accomplished in English in order to strengthen and increase English abilities and vocabulary.

A Teacher In-service training is a workshop for educators to obtain necessary continuing education hours as well as to learn new strategies, games and activities. In-service workshops will be structured according to the individual needs of a school or specific group of teachers
